Seymour FM Community Open Day – A Huge Success!
What a fantastic day at 57 Pollard Street! The Seymour FM Community Open Day brought together local families, volunteers, performers, and emergency services to celebrate what makes community radio so powerful: people.
From the smell of sausages sizzling on the BBQ to the sound of live local music drifting across the street, the day was filled with energy, good conversation, and community spirit.
“This is what community radio is all about. Real people coming together to connect, share stories, and support one another,” said Seymour FM CEO Josh Pearson. “We’re incredibly proud to be part of this town and today’s turnout shows just how valued Seymour FM is by the community.”
Thank You to Our Local Legends
We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to:
-
The Seymour Scouts for running a brilliant BBQ and keeping the crowd fed with delicious sausages.
-
Local police and CFA members for stopping by, engaging with locals, and showing their ongoing support for community initiatives.
-
Corey, who delivered an outstanding live music performance on the day. If you missed it, be sure to watch the video on our socials.
“From live music to emergency services and a crowd of people sharing a meal, this is exactly the kind of local connection we want to foster every day at Seymour FM.”
Want to Be Part of It?
The day wasn’t just about celebration. It was a call to action.
Seymour FM is always looking for new voices and helping hands. Whether you’re interested in presenting your own radio show, helping out with tech and production, or volunteering behind the scenes, we want to hear from you.
“You don’t need radio experience. Just a passion for community and a willingness to get involved. If you’ve ever thought about jumping behind the mic or pitching in backstage, now’s the time.”
