Seymour FM front and centre for a huge Halloween family night
More than 350 people came together for Bunnings Seymourβs free Halloween family evening on Thursday 29 October, and Seymour FM was right at the front door, helping welcome families and get everyone into the spirit of the night.
With wandering wildlife, face painting, a sausage sizzle, popcorn and childrenβs activities on offer, there was plenty for families to enjoy. It was a fantastic turnout and a great opportunity for local people, businesses and volunteers to come together.
Our Seymour FM crew helped welcome visitors, hand out loot bags and distribute raffle tickets. A big thank you to Sam, Geoff, Cas, Jimmy and Sharon for lending a hand, and to Rita, our number one fan, who joined the team for the evening!
Stuart and the Scouts were also busy looking after the popcorn, playing their part in making it a memorable night for the families who attended.
We would like to thank Bunnings Seymour for organising the event and bringing so many people together. Free family activities give the community a chance to connect, and we were pleased to help make the evening happen.
Being involved in local events is an important part of community radio. It gives us the chance to meet the people who listen, introduce the station to new faces and contribute beyond the studio. Thursday night was a reminder that a welcoming community event takes plenty of people willing to pitch in.
That same spirit keeps Seymour FM going throughout the year.

Become a Seymour FM member and help support the future of local community radio. You can join online, and you do not need to become a presenter or volunteer to make a valuable contribution through membership.
For anyone interested in taking a more active role, there are opportunities both on air and behind the scenes. You might enjoy presenting music, interviewing local people, helping with events, taking photos, supporting social media, assisting with administration or putting your technical skills to use. Previous radio experience is not required, with training and support available to help you get started.
Whether you would like to help occasionally or explore a regular role, find out about becoming a member and volunteer or contact the team to discuss your interests.
Local businesses can get involved too. Sponsoring Seymour FM provides an opportunity to promote your business while helping fund local programming, equipment and the ongoing work of our volunteers.
And, of course, we would love you to listen. Tune your radio to 103.9 FM or listen live online wherever you are.
